BROOCH, Large Dragon Fly with a long wing span, detailed body, articulated tail. The body is made with an oval Blue cabochon, antennae are highlighted with ruby stones, and the clusters of pave' stones give it dramatic sparkle. Lovely weight and movement.

Prominent Italian fashion jewelry house who's lines accessorized famed designers such as Pucci, Capucci, Maerucelli, and were in the best department stores such as Bonwith Teller, and Bloomingdales in the US. Started in 1948 by Gaetano Cascio. In business for over 40 years. Later his son Riccardo Cascio franchised to boutiques in Italy.

CHOKER STYLE NECKLACE, 1950s. This Over-the-Top Necklace is Dramatically thick with Acrylic Beads. Long loops of clear faceted beads attached to a woven base, with large faceted Emerald beads on the outside strands.

Measures 15-1/2" from end loop to tail loop; 3" wide in the front and 1-1/2" to 2" thick. Due to the thickness, it will wear high on the neck.

BROOCH, c. 1960s. Clusters of Pink Glass beads Hand-knotted on nylon thread, invisible to the eye, all set in a Bouquet of Delicate Pink Glass Petals.

This style of invisible knotting brought overnight fame to Anni Schaad and brought her to the forefront of top European designers in the 1960s. Necklace using this knotting process is Pictured in Cera's 'Jewels of Fantasy' pg. 367, referenced in 'European Designer Jewelry' by Moro, pgs. 136-141. Little black bead, sewn into the glass bead stem, is a signature style for Langani.

Her use of Elaborate Beads and Resin Embellishments established her Artistic Works at the highest levels of the Fashion World.
